Headed up to Kernville and we've got gorgeous skies...
Well that changed over night...
Early to the pit..9:00 and it's pouring rain. Thank heavens we set up the eazy-ups and racks
when we got here last night. Pouring rain, rain dripping between eazy-ups, all racers, parents and families crammed under makes for a whole different experience. Unfortunately you racers had to do your preride in the rain...nothing like a bunch of soaking wet and muddy riders when you returned an hour later. We had to sit you in the truck with the heater on to warm and dry you up.
But...the skies cleared around 2:00 and just in time for all the races! The trails were perfect!
Cheering on the girls
And you are off...
So bummed I missed pics of you going through the water...I was so excited to watch you that I forgot to hit record. Whoops!
You are amazing and these hill are your strength...go buddy!!
Well you did it...1st Place Baby!!! 1st place in level 2 6/7 graders. OMGosh...you have worked so hard for this. Continued practices, riding by yourself sometimes and eating right is paying off. You are so humble about your wins that this impresses me more than anything.
The next morning before having to be back in the pit for the high schooler's we explored the river for a bit right at our lodge.
And after another long day cheering on the high schooler's we headed home...peace out Keyesville!
